Pillars Prayer Guide

Our vision isn’t meant to be an abstract framework for ministry, but a living, tangible way of communing and engaging with the Lord. Check out our prayer guide to see ways that these three pillars can practically guide you in ministering to God’s Presence, embracing His fullness, and contending for His harvest!

3 Pillars

The vision and work of the Tabernacle World Prayer Center rests on three foundational pillars. These form the heartbeat of our ministry, the core of why we do everything that we do.

Vision Highlight - Presence.png

Presence

We exist to seek, welcome, and minister to the Presence of God. Scripture tells us that God is present in all places at once (Jer 23:24), yet can choose to manifest His Presence in a unique way to His people (Jn 14:21, 23). There are places where God’s Spirit seems to dwell in deeper ways — a burning bush, a tabernacle, an upper room — especially when His people approach Him with sincere praise, purity of heart, and a desperate hunger for His nearness. We burn with longing — and invite you to join with us — to be a people and place of God’s manifest Presence, where He is pleased to dwell!

Vision Highlight - Fullness.png

Fullness

We delight in embracing the Fullness of God. We cannot outgive the Lord — as we minister to Him with our worship, He ministers to us and transforms us in His Presence. We come to Him as needy children and receive from Him the provision, forgiveness, protection, guidance, healing, and empowerment to grow into the fullness of who He has called us to be. As we commune with Him, walk in repentance, and come together as one Body in Christ, the Lord makes it possible for us to grow up into the measure of the stature of the fullness of Jesus (Eph 4:13).

Vision Highlight - Harvest (+4).png

Harvest

We are committed to contending for the Harvest of God. Each of us was once lost apart from Christ, and it was by His grace that we were redeemed and brought into His family and Kingdom. Now it is our privilege and joy to partner with the Lord in ministering to the world through our prayers and obedience. Jesus told us a massive harvest is waiting to be gathered in for the Kingdom of God, and commanded us to earnestly, desperately cry out for workers to be sent into His harvest fields (Lk 10:2). We want to be fully obedient to this call until the Lamb of God has received the full reward of His suffering!

Four Harvests

At TWPC, we believe the Lord has assigned us to multiply prayer for laborers and the lost for four specific harvests.

We believe that the Lord has given us a privilege and responsibility to pray for those close to us relationally and geographically. We pray for our families, friends, classmates, coworkers, and neighbors. We pray for our neighborhoods, cities, and local areas.

We are located at the doorstep of our nation’s capital, and have a passion to pray for the U.S. in this nationwide time of great need and opportunity for God’s Kingdom. We pray for a different state each week and for revival in the church and among the lost in our nation as a whole.

We are located in the DC-Maryland-Virginia area, the most ethnically and religiously diverse metro area in the country. We feel a special burden to intercede for the nations God has brought to our backyard, including many unreached peoples now within our reach.

We believe the day is coming when every people group on earth will hear the Gospel of the Kingdom (Matt 24:14), and that we must pray for the thousands of Unreached People Groups (UPGs) remaining with little to no access to the Gospel.

Vision

“We do not engage in ministry and pray for God’s blessing on it; prayer IS the ministry from which all other ministries must flow.”

~ Patrick Johnstone
